Years later, when I saw her share that she was becoming certified as a doula and focusing on birth photography, I recalled her incredibly calming spirit and knew immediately I wanted to reach out if we got pregnant. Almost exactly four years after our wedding day, we welcomed our first baby into this world with the steady help and beautiful documentation of Mary Claire (just as I’d hoped).
